World Press Photo @ Royal Festival Hall, London

Was at the World Press Photo exhibition with Canada on Saturday afternoon, and once again saw more photographs of the war, of death, of pain and suffering. Is that all that is newsworthy these days? 98% of the news is bad news.

So freakin sick of it. We didn't stay long, didn't agree with it. There are pros to displaying pain and suffering, such as enlightening the wider society on what is going on in far parts of the world. But the photos we saw on Saturday did not portray that. All I saw were pictures trying to win awards. Surely they could do better than that.
