Underground artists @ Santa's Ghetto

Am currently parked in the Apple Store on Regent Street with my iBook on my lap looking down on the ground floor of the Apple Store. The barriers are glass so I can perve at the Mac-ians below. Yummy.

On the way here I stopped by at the 2006 Santa's Ghetto, founded by Banksy (apparently not his real name), the artist who definitely has the shock factor thing going. Christina Aguilera bought three of his paintings, Angelina Jolie bought a few herself.

Santa's Ghetto houses works by underground artists from all over. London, New York, DC, to name a few. Some of the works include Mona Lisa with Marge Simpson's blue hair, an Evening Standard sign with the words "Hate" painted in the shape of the famous "Love" sculpture in NYC. Also present were works featuring the president of a country we shall not name, and the prime minister of another country we shall not name. Banksy's work of Michael Jackson with Hansel and Gretel pulled the crowds alright. Banksy's had his painting of Mona Lisa with the smiley face exhibited at the Louvre. Hence, respect him we must.
