Zurich, Switz

Just got back from Zurich with the girls. So much fun. The highlight of the trip was visiting the Freitag store, made of freight containers, with an observatory deck at the top. For those who don’t know, Freitag is a company that makes bags from recycled truck seats, car seat belts, bicycle inner tubes and used air bags. They stock it in New Zealand for an exorbitant fee. So all I used to do is gape at it and read the awesome reviews about the freight container store in Wallpaper magazine. So you can imagine that when we saw the store from up the road, all the way up to when we left the store, I was like, wow, wow, wow…

Thanks girls for putting up with my penchant for these things. But of course Zurich was not just all about Freitag. We went on paddleboats and bobbed round Lake Zurich while waxing lyrical. SO good.

Also, one of the girls bought a pair of shoes 4 sizes too big. Too funny!!!

Summer is here.

So friggin hot. Help.

We were at Revolution Bar in Soho last Saturday for S's bday and it was like a sauna in there. I felt like a Post-It Note the whole night. Eew. It was just as hot in Opium when we went there after. I so wanted to pour my drink over my head. Next time remind me to bring a fan.

Athens in 4 Days

Just got back from 4 days in Athens. Had to camp out at London Heathrow Airport on Thursday night and had made a mental note then, that this trip better be worth it! In return, each day was like, wow. We hiked up to the Acropolis, one of the most amazing structures of human civilisation. We hardly spent any euros in Athens, getting Souvlaki wraps for EUR 2 for lunch and dinner. Headed to one of the beaches which was the closest thing to home, cept Athens beaches’ sand = pebbles and hard rocks. Beggars can’t be choosers.

Back in my London studio now, loving the smell of London public transportation. Aw yeah.
